Hi, I'm Lyri (she/they)! I'm a Filipino penguin who's a writer, illustrator, and hamster lover. You may also know me as the artist behind Pengupops!

A lot of my experience with community building came from my old job at a creative nonprofit. I ran a lot of community programs and events. I also advocated for more inclusive resources. It made me so happy to see people connect with each other over shared identities and interests. That was primarily a virtual role, so I wanted to try bringing those skills to in-person events around Dallas! I hope you enjoy the events we host :)

Oh, I'm also the webmaster. I'm running this page with nothing but w3schools and my knowledge from editing Tumblr blogs.

Hiiii I birb (they/any)! I'm a bird... sometimes I'm a very colorful toucan :v

As a young bird, I always loved going to events... My life is usually waiting for the next anime convention to roll into town, and I enjoy volunteering and helping make these anime events run, even on the international guest relations side... However, I feel like anime conventions as of late focus a lot on profit and making it big... This is why I wanted to host events myself, to cater to a very specific niche (me) and my interests. In my day job, I'm usually at the library helping with library programming :3
